League Rules

  1. Out of Bounds – All out of bounds is marked by white stakes, fences or roadways.  If your ball goes past the white stakes, you may go retrieve your ball.  Then you will drop your ball as close as possible to where it crossed the white stakes within two club lengths.  Add two strokes as a penalty if this happens.  You can also drop as near as possible to where you previously hit from and you must add one penalty stroke.  The other option is to hit a provisional ball if you believe your ball went out of bounds.  If your ball went out of bounds and you played a provisional, your provisional ball would be the ball in play.  You must add one penalty stroke.
  2. Summer Rules – You have to play the ball down which means playing the ball as it lies.  You cannot move, roll or improve your lie.  There may be times when we have to go lift, clean and place if the weather dictates but that is about the only time you can move your ball without penalty.
  3. Teeing Ground – Play will be from the blue tees.  Anyone that is 50+ may play from the white tees.  Anyone that is 60+ can play from the gold tees.  If you are eligible for the white tees, you must indicate on the scorecard that you played from that set of tees.  Also if you play from the white tees, you must stay there.  I.E. You cannot play from the blue tees and then change to the white tees for the championship.
  4. Putting – Players are allowed to accept “gimme” putts only from the opposing player/ team.  If there is no indication from the opposing player/ team, you must putt everything out.
  5. Wooded Areas – Wooded areas around the course are marked as a lateral hazard with red stakes.  If you do not see any stakes, it is still intended to be played as a lateral hazard.
  6. Sand Bunkers – As a local rule, you may remove stones from our sand bunkers.  Heavy rains may fill bunkers with water.  If your ball clearly goes into a bunker filled with water, you may take a free drop inside of the bunker if possible or outside of the bunker without penalty.
